jfc, wtf is wrong with people?

When I went into the kitchen this morning, I was extremely cautious, checking for strange noises, sudden bangs, and movement in the corner of my vision. Luckily, none of those signs were there, and so I could enter the kitchen freely, knowing it was rodent free. (I did, however, find a jar of peanut butter with the lid gnawed through, which I promptly disposed of.)

This fic, which is Star Trek XI and was written for the prompt "Please apply the techniques of at least one school or theory of literary analysis to any of the following pairings", is titled "Reading Against/Reading With: Mastering the Oppositional Discourse in Textual Healing", and made me laugh until I cried, no literally, which probably means there's something deeply wrong with me but I don't care.
